WebI understand that you can't get used to ElvUI. However, ElvUI can be made into anything you'd like. Plus, you can disable features independently that you don't like. For example: disable everything but the health bars. That way it's all the default UI except the health bars. That's probably the closest I can think of to getting what you want.

I'm not at my pc now, but dig down into the nameplate settings. You can set individual settings for hostile /friendly players and npcs. Not sure why you want to show friendly plates, though?
