Webb30 apr. 2009 · Don't worry about a Ballast resistor with that coil and wire direct from the Ignition post of your key switch to the coil + terminal. The PerTronix has a black and red wire. Run the red to coil + and the black to coil -. Those three wires will be the only ones on the coil unless you run a tach which would also connect to coil - Webb30 juni 2014 · The resistor wire is a solid core, not stranded, wire whose insulation is pink and white (k/w). The thing is, the wire was coverd with a woven cloth sheath, if still intact, may not allow the k/w to be visible.. The other wire, the 12 volt starting wire sharing the connector, is white and yellow.

Webb5 juni 2024 · There are queries from members who have replaced the starter motor on rubber bumper B's with ballast resistor ignition and then experience starting problems which weren't there before. The original starter motor has a connector on the solenoid which feeds directly to the positive side of the coil. The wire is white/light green.
