SpletPlugged it in harder and that seemed to do the trick. (and by plug I mean the one connecting to the headset not the microphone jack on the PC) It was a strange issue. I'm loving the headset now though. If anyone sees this, i fixed the issue by when i replugged the cord in, a prompt came up asking what i plugged in.
